I've recently returned from a delightful stay at the Symbol, a homestay nestled in the lush tree canopy of Ella, Sri Lanka. We initially booked three nights but ended up extending our stay to five, and here's why. Our host, Indika, was incredibly attentive, ensuring our experience felt personal rather than just another tourist stop. The spacious room, complete with a mini-bar and tea facilities, was spotless and tastefully furnished. The comfortable bed made resting after our adventures easy, and we appreciated the air conditioning during the warmer days. Breakfast on the terrace, with views of local wildlife, was a highlight. Indika served up fantastic hoppers, a real treat. Not to mention, the location struck a perfect balance-close to town, yet secluded enough for a genuine getaway. While we did occasionally hear our neighbors, the overall tranquility made it a relaxing escape. For those valuing a blend of luxury and cost-effectiveness, the Symbol offers incredible value. You receive attentive service, a perfect location, and a homey atmosphere for a reasonable price.
